This is a quick recipe which can be eaten as a snack anytime of the day. It is very easy to prepare and takes no time at all. All you need is a few ingredients and you are good to go.

(Serves-4, Preparation Time – 5 minutes, Cooking Time – 10 minutes)


1 medium-sized Cauliflower

Refined oil for frying

For the batter

2 tbsp All-purpose flour

1 tbsp Corn flour

1 tsp Cumin seeds

1 tsp Mustard seeds

1 tsp Red Chilli flakes

½ tsp Baking Powder

½ tsp freshly ground Black Pepper

½ tsp turmeric powder

Salt to taste

  • Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients of the batter. Add water to form a smooth batter. It should coat the spoon completely.
  • Heat oil in a wok on a medium flame. While the oil is heating up, wash the cauliflower properly. Cut it into bite size florets. Add them into the batter and coat well.
  • Add the florets one by one into the oil and deep fry until golden brown and crisp. Place them on a self absorbing paper. Sprinkle some Raw Mango Powder/ salt/ pepper and serve hot with chutney of your choice.
